    • They helped my little girl, sadly she died Wednesday morning I miss her. Although she hasn't gone anywhere she still sleeps on my bed sits on my feet and fusses about. A small invisible furry ghost, I get icy cold laps when she lays on me. And she can still fart very smelly and an imperceptible snigger.

    • I have used this PDSA Pet Aid Hospital for over ten years and I can honestly say that it's been a vital part of my cat's life. Living on a low income makes keeping a pet that much more difficult, particularly when they become ill, requiring regular vaccinations, medication or neutering. At the PDSA there is always a friendly member of staff waiting to greet you in the clean, adequately sized waiting room. Often three or four vets work there at the same time. It is an extremely busy place and perhaps the worst aspect of this is trying to get through on the phone to make an appointment without being put on hold for 15 minutes plus. Once over that hurdle, you and your pet are guaranteed a consultation with a vet or vetinary assistant and the appropriate medication if required. The PDSA relies entirely on donations and they deserve everything they get - and more. If your pet is in the hospital, they will be properly cared for and you will be contacted if their situation changes etc. This is a professionally run centre offering people on lower incomes an opportunity to seek the same levels of advice as if they were attending a private vetinary surgery. There is a qualification rule for registering based on whether an owner receives Council Tax reduction. My beautiful old cat became terminally I'll and was put to sleep by the PDSA staff three months ago. Even in such emotional and upsetting situations as this the staff are considerate and extremely sympathetic to the owner's, as well as the pet's needs. This is a place where everyone is working to improve an animal's quality of life. A wonderful example it is too.
