  My rating is a reflection of the service I receive from the surgery and not the care I receive from the GP's. The surgery appears disorganised and under-resourced. Usually unable to make an appointment within the next 3 weeks, otherwise told to call on the day which results in a high number of calls to the surgery at the same time. This means you can dial a number of times (sometimes over 100 times in a day) and either not have your call answered at all, have your call answered but be too late for an appointment that day, or be lucky enough to get one of a few appointments. Although, you may not be able to see the GP of your choice or at a time convenient to you. Also, if you work this will most likely not work for you due to the timings of the appointments. There is a sign in the surgery saying you will not be seen if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, which is entirely fair. However, I have not yet attended one appointment where I have not had to wait at least 30-40 minutes, sometimes more. On one occasion I was left waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes but I'm assured this was an isolated incident. I have also been left waiting just shy of 10 minutes at reception before to be booked in as having arrived, with the receptionist looking intently at the clock; not my fault the patient in front of me took that long to be dealt with. There is often one receptionist available to answer two telephones in the surgery resulting in a number of people unable to reach the surgery, and no doubt creating a stressful environment for the staff member. In summary, very difficult and stressful to obtain an appointment and always left waiting a prolonged period of time to see the GP. Poor overall experience.
